Mentally Ill
Anka provides an array of supports and services to consumers of all ages with serious and persistent mental illness. Our continuum of care includes a variety of treatment settings that offer services ranging from crisis intervention and stabilization to ongoing recovery and wellness. The primary goal of all Anka programs is to help consumers achieve the highest level of independence possible.
Developmentally Disabled
Our programs provide an array of service modalities designed to meet the needs of children and adults with developmental disabilities and complex behavioral problems. We coordinate an interdisciplinary team of professionals that includes counselors, case managers, psychiatrists, behaviorists, and psychologists. Through our comprehensive team approach, we are able to support positive behaviors and skill acquisition as well as to discover and treat any underlying conditions that may be affecting behavior. Our specialized services include residential and day programs for developmentally disabled consumers who are in crisis, have complex behavior problems, are at risk of or are losing their developmental center placement, have co-occurring psychiatric or substance abuse problems, and/or have become involved with the criminal justice system.
Veterans
In partnership with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Anka has developed case management and housing programs that specifically address the unique needs of those who have served our country. Through our outreach, transitional living, and permanent supportive housing programs, veterans receive the mental health and case management services they need to successfully re-integrate into their communities.
Youth
Anka works with teenagers and transition-aged youth who are in need of intensive early intervention. Our specialized programs target youth who are experiencing a mental health crisis and/or an eating disorder. Additionally, we offer specialized programs for those emancipating from the foster care system. Through a combination of outpatient, residential, and supported living options, Anka is able to support and assist the young consumer as he or she progresses towards recovery and independence.
Forensic
Anka has designed intensive outpatient and residential programs for those who have become involved with the criminal justice system and/or have been found incompetent to stand trial. Services focus on achieving three specific outcomes: successfully treating underlying conditions that impact behavior, reducing recidivism, and maintaining community safety. Anka recently began providing mental health and substance abuse treatment in a jail setting so that incarcerated consumers could receive the support needed to successfully re-enter the community.
Substance Abuse/Co-Occurring Disorders
Through both traditional and innovative programs, Anka provides a full menu of service opportunities that includes both residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment. Specialty programs are designed to offer integrated treatment to meet the specific needs of those who also experience mental illness. With an integrated team of substance abuse and mental health professionals, consumers are able to receive all of their treatment in one location.
Homeless
Through our participation in the Chronic Homeless Initiative, Anka has developed a variety of programs, ranging from outreach to housing, to assist people transitioning out of homelessness. Using a “Housing First” approach, consumers are able to receive housing as they begin to address the medical, mental health, and substance abuse problems that have contributed to their homelessness.
