Crisis Residential Treatment (CRTs)

We currently operate multiple crisis residential programs for children and adults experiencing a psychiatric emergency or behavioral crisis.  As an alternative to hospitalization, Anka’s CRT model provides intensive mental health and behavioral supports at a reduced cost.  With an integrated team of professional staff, all consumers have access to individual and group therapy, life skills support, and medication evaluation and management.  All services are provided in home-like environments and are licensed and certified by the state regulatory agencies.

Transitional Residential Services

Anka has designed a wide variety of transitional living programs to meet the needs of multiple populations.  The length of stay ranges from three to eighteen months, based on program design, and is tailored to address the specific needs of the population served.  Services are focused on assisting people to address any issues that led to their enrollment in the program and to assist them in returning to a more independent setting.

Outpatient Services

Anka currently works with people experiencing mental health and/or substance abuse problems to find and maintain recovery.  Using both traditional and integrated approaches, consumers participate in individual and group therapy with a combination of peer counselors, certified addiction professionals, and mental health clinicians.

Case Management/Service Coordination

Anka currently provides a variety of case management strategies based on consumer and customer need.  Using a modified ACT approach, consumers with the highest level of need have access to 24-hour services and supports to help them be successful in the community and prevent admission into higher levels of care.  An intensive case management model is used for consumers who require service coordination to maintain a high quality of life in the community but do not require 24-hour supports.  Services available include budgeting and money management, service coordination and linkages, benefits and vocational assistance, and medication monitoring.

Homeless Continuum of Care

Services begin with intensive outreach efforts into homeless encampments and anywhere that homeless people may be.  From initial contact, consumers have access to multi-service centers where they can begin to address both basic needs and underlying problems, emergency shelter targeted for consumers with mental health issues, and permanent housing with support services.  Through a “no wrong door” approach and a Housing First model, people are assisted to transition from homelessness and re-integrate into their communities.

Supported/Independent Living

Anka has combined access to affordable housing with individualized services to assist people in living independently in their communities.  This approach allows consumers who have traditionally required group living environments or higher levels of care to experience the freedom and responsibility of independence with supports designed to meet their unique needs and challenges.

Vocational Services

Anka currently offers services to assist people in becoming “job ready,” and provides two main opportunities for consumers to work.  In a sheltered workshop environment, consumers are assisted in learning job skills at their own pace while earning a limited income.  Through contracts with public agencies, consumers have access to jobs that earn a living wage by performing grounds maintenance, litter abatement, landscaping, and/or janitorial tasks.
