Assertive Community Treatment/Full Service Partnerships
Anka currently provides the highest level of case management and wraparound supports to assist people in achieving successful life in the community. Using Assertive Community Treatment and modified ACT approaches, consumers with the highest level of need have access to 24-hour services and supports to help them be successful in the community and prevent admission into higher levels of care. Crisis Residential Treatment (CRTs)
Anka currently operates multiple crisis residential programs for children and adults experiencing a psychiatric emergency or behavioral crisis. As an alternative to hospitalization, Anka's CRT model provides intensive mental health and behavioral supports at a reduced cost. With an integrated team of professional staff, all consumers have access to individual and group therapy, life skills support, and medication evaluation and management. Forensics
For the past fifteen years, we at Anka BHI have been providing forensic Mental Health Services to the State of California. With our own forensic medical director (MD) who is also a specialist in Substance Abuse Treatment & a comprehensive team of licensed clinicians, Ph.D., LCSW, LMFT, we are able to design and offer a comprehensive selection of therapeutic services. Homeless Continuum of Care
Services begin with intensive outreach efforts into homeless encampments and anywhere that homeless people may be. From initial contact, consumers have access to multi-service centers where they can begin to address both basic needs and underlying problems, emergency shelter targeted for consumers with mental health issues, and permanent housing with support services. Through a "no wrong door" approach and a Housing First model, people are assisted to transition from homelessness and re-integrate into their communities. READ MORE
Long Term Residential Services
Anka provides long term residential services for people who are not able to live independently but who are able to live in the community with increased services and supports. Services are focused on assisting consumers to express their needs and preferences, reduce isolation, and achieve their highest quality of life within the community. READ MORE
Outpatient Services
Anka currently works with people experiencing behavioral health problems to find and maintain recovery in an outpatient environment. Using both traditional and integrated approaches, consumers participate in individual and group recovery-focused activities with a combination of peer counselors, certified addiction professionals, and mental health clinicians. Supported / Independent Living
Anka has combined access to affordable housing with individualized services to assist people in living independently in their communities. This approach allows consumers who have traditionally required group living environments or higher levels of care to experience the freedom and responsibility of independence with supports designed to meet their unique needs and challenges. Transitional Residential Services
Anka has designed a wide variety of transitional living programs to meet the needs of multiple populations. The length of stay ranges from three to eighteen months and is tailored to address the specific needs of the population served. Services are focused on assisting people to address any issues that led to their enrollment in the program and to assist them in returning to a more independent setting. READ MORE
Vocational Services
Bridging self-awareness to self-sufficiency, Anka is one of the largest employers of people with mental illness in California. Its vocational programs include job training and job placement, sheltered workshop, work enclaves, and supported employment. Anka has obtained major vocational contracts with federal and state agencies including the Department of the Navy, Department of the Air Force, California Highway Patrol, and EDD. Anka is accredited by CARF and works closely with California’s Department of Rehabilitation. Anka is also a certified in California as a Department of Rehabilitation “Ticket-to-Work” provider.
