Forensics

For the past fifteen years, we at Anka BHI have been providing forensic Mental Health Services to the State of California. With our own forensic medical director (MD) who is also a specialist in Substance Abuse Treatment & a comprehensive team of licensed clinicians, Ph.D., LCSW, LMFT, we are able to design and offer a comprehensive selection of therapeutic services. We are a primary treatment provider to:

- Atascadero Maximum Security State Prison Hospital
- Coalinga Maximum Security State Prison Hospital
- Napa Medium Security State Prison Hospital
- Patton Medium Security State Prison Hospital
- Metro Medium Security State Prison Hospital

Historically Anka has also provided a full range of mental health services to:

- Solano County Jail Psychiatric unit, California
- San Joaquin County Psychiatric unit, California
- Fulton County Jail Psychiatric unit, Georgia

Alternative services:

• South Point Facility
  El Cajon, San Diego County, operates as a Transitional Residential Program. It is a 24-hour, 12-bed facility providing treatment to inmates with a civil commitment & mentally disordered offenders, who have the opportunity to transition back into the community.
• Northstar Facility
  Manteca, San Joaquin County, CA. operates as a Transitional Residential Program. It is a 24-hour, 14-bed facility providing treatment to inmates with a civil commitment & mentally disordered offenders, who have the opportunity to transition back into the community.
• CONREP (Conditional Release Program)
  Anka is a premier provider of this forensic service for the State of California .These alternative forensic programs offer treatment to inmates committed as Mentally Disordered Offenders (PC 2964), civil Commitments (PC 2970) or Not Guilty by reason of insanity (PC 1026).
• Operating as part of a state-wide standardized system of out-patient treatment and supervision for inmates ordered by the Superior Courts and Board of Prison Terms, inmates are case managed for life, as long as they are able to maintain a stable life in the community:
  California Central Valley Region serving Fresno, Madera, Kings, &Tulare Counties.
  Golden Gate Region serving San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino counties
  

ANKA operates the California Forensic Assessment Project (CFAP) based in San Francisco, which coordinates risk assessments and forensic evaluations of mentally disordered offenders to determine in which treatment setting they should be placed.

Forensic Services for people with an Intellectual Disability:

Amador Facility:Is an alternative all male residential program in Contra Costa County, providing permanent housing & 24/7 care for people exiting a State Hospital Forensic Unit.

Lindero Facility: Is an alternative all male residential program in Contra Costa County, providing permanent housing & 24/7 care for people exiting a State Hospital Forensic Unit.

Nipomo Facility: Is an alternative all male residential program in San Luis Obispo County, providing permanent housing & 24/7 care for people exiting a State Hospital Forensic Unit.

Tri-Valley Facility: A forensic Day Treatment center that operates five days per week, providing comprehensive care & rehabilitation using behavior modification approaches & state of the art interactive technology for up to 40 people.
